Holiday accommodation is available in the form of Bed and Breakfast outlets, self-catering flats, back-packer rooms, furnished homes, municipal bungalows and chalets, guest houses, and a time-share complex. We also boast a choice of at least 9 restaurants and eating places. Futhermore, we have supermarkets, banks, shops, sports shops, curio-shops, convenience stores, estate agents, nurseries, pubs, liquor stores, doctors rooms, pharmacies, dentists, opticians, a well equipped gym, retirement home and retirement complexes, hardware stores, a very busy building industry, and our own ambulance service. In addition, we have a number of manufacturing industries situated in a small industrial area, in Still Bay East. Fresh fish can be bought at the harbour, on a daily basis.

We are approximately 150 km (93 miles) from the nearest airport at George, a large commercial and industrial town, where passenger airliners arrive and depart throughout the day, from and to, Johannesburg, Cape Town and other cities. Before George, lies Mossel Bay 100 km from Stilbaai, which, among other things, has a casino. Day trips can be taken to include game reserves, Bungi jumping from the Gourits Bridge, about 60 km from Stilbaai, shark cage diving off Mossel Bay, visiting Knysna and its famous lagoon and Heads.  To the west, trips can be taken to include the old town of Swellendam and all its tourist attractions, and Witsand holiday resort on the Breede River Mouth, just over 100 km from Stillbaai. 

Note: The Bungi-Jumping facility at Gourits River Bridge, has temporarily been closed pending construction repairs. The closest, and highest Bungi in the world, is the Bloukrans Bungi, at the Bloukrans Bridge, 40 kms past Plettenberg Bay (290 km from Still Bay, or 140 km from George).
